Solo Entertainer singer songwriterOmid Master has been, performing and recording around Port Douglas and CairnsQueensland Australia for over 10 years.
Master is an entertainer, singer andguitar player. In 2006 he signed to Green Media of MGM Distribution to releasehis debut album followed by a string of releases.

In 2010 for the first time in thehistory of the Douglas Carnivale the title track to his album Everything isOkay was selected as its theme song. Master performed the song live on nationalAustralian television's Sunrise and Today. The album debuted in the ARIAcharts, which is an achievement for an independent artist living in a remoteregion.

Master's second album Forgotten AboutToday hit the water front records chart at number eight and with pre-releasesales progressed to number four for three weeks running. In 2011 the track WhenI Close My Eyes took him to the top artist on Radar Radio for 4 weeks running.



In recent years Master has opened foracts like Matt McHugh (The Beautiful Girls), Jessica Mauboy, Lior, RichardClapton and Eskimo Joe. He continues to play live all around Far NorthQueensland and is currently recording his third album.



Master is writing andproducing his third album with some assistance from his brother DJ MobinMaster. He believes this will be his best album evolving into a new sound thathe has been striving to achieve.



Ratherthan playing with a band, Master now spends more time recording on his own andplaying solo. His latest live performances focus on the deeper issues of lifeand the environment. In collaboration with poet Helen Ramoutsaki, he composessongs like “Daintree Dancing” (available on i-tunes) and “How I wish herhealing”, centering on the paradigm shift needed to reclaim a healthy planet. Thisongoing collaboration started in 2006 with the song “Side by side”, which waschosen as the theme song to the Laura Festival and was performed live withColoured Stone.



In2010 Omid started his own record label “Omcore music”, distributed throughGreen Media, an outlet for artists in remote areas with fewer touringopportunities. He recorded his debut album “Everything is okay” and the titletrack was selected as the theme song for the 2010 Port Douglas Carnivale. Omid wenton to perform this song live on national television. The albumsubsequently reached the top 400 in the ARIA chart, which is an achievement foran independent artist living in a remote region. Omid's second album “Forgottenabout today” hit the www.waterfrontrecords.comchart at number eight and with pre-release sales progressed to number four forthree weeks running. The themes of this album relate to living on the Far NorthQueensland coast, reflecting Omid's need to live for the moment and stand upagainst unsatisfying norms. The album has been described as “a heady blend ofimpressive instrumentation, crafted lyrics and relevant themes”.



In recent years Master has opened for acts likeMatt McHugh (The Beautiful Girls), Lior and Eskimo Joe. He continues to playlive in Port Douglas, the surrounding regions and beyond, drawing increasingly largercrowds.
